Research report: Systems of care across scales of life
This report, written alongside my design studies, explores systems of care through a case study of cheesemaking. By looking at the designed elements of care in the making process, it demonstrates how design can increase understanding and appreciation for care in society. It proposes that a community-based cheese care practice (which I later designed and built) could be a valuable opportunity to promote community engagement and wellbeing, highlighting the importance of collective care. The book’s hardback is made of plywood and wrapped in cheesecloth.
