Research report: Systems of care across scales of life

This report, written alongside my design studies, explores systems of care through a case study of cheesemaking and affinage (cheese maturing). By looking at the designed elements of ‘cheese care’, it demonstrates how design can increase understanding and appreciation for care in society. It proposes that a community-based cheese care practice could be a valuable opportunity to promote community engagement and wellbeing, highlighting the importance of collective care. The essay explores how to design with care to recognise the interconnectedness of all systems, human and non-human.
