Brief
To create a cheese product map, keeping within the Brindisa brand but with my own illustration style, with the purpose of:
Educating staff, B2B and B2C customers on the terroirs of Spain and the impact of the environment on artisan cheeses.
Highlighting the Brindisa range of cheeses from Spain, their uniqueness, and the size of
the producers.Engaging and delighting customers with
educational content. To create a beautiful keepsake that could be sold or given as a gift.
Solution
A portrait-format print poster, produced in A1, A2, and A3, alongside a 2-metre-wide landscape vinyl version designed for display on the company’s cheese market tent.
The design features 35 illustrated cheeses from 25 Spanish makers, accompanied by a map and a structured layout system that orders the cheeses geographically from north to south by producer. Using the company’s internal cheesemaker data matrix, the poster incorporates key information such as herd size, team size, and milk type, communicated through a set of illustrated icon keys.
Now, I am currently working on a self-directed expansion of the project by integrating web design using AI, where I am vibe-coding an interactive version of the map, conceptually designed for the Brindisa website.
I prototyped a template for the visual design and user interactions in Figma, then passed this onto Claude Code, together with additional written prompts, the complete data matrix, and all the assets to build a functioning HTML. See the demo below.
All the work incorporated the new illustrations and concepts while keeping to Brindia’s brand guidelines.
Contribution
Independent freelance design and illustration.
I used InDesign and Procreate for the poster, and Claude Code and Figma for the web design.
This work is currently ongoing.
